
Despite the upcoming Easter, the pig market has remained stagnant for a long time. The last seven days have not brought any changes in this respect.
In domestic quotations, the last major changes in prices of fattened pigs were recorded in mid-February. Since then, prices have fluctuated around PLN 9.00 – 9.10 net per kilogram of class E fattened pigs, and PLN 6.90 – 7.10 net per kilogram of live weight.
Prices of fattening pigs in Poland
This week did not bring any revolution either. Compared to our previous quotation, prices have changed practically nothing.
Domestic purchasers currently pay from PLN 8.70 to PLN 9.20 net per kilogram for fattened pigs in class E, with the average price being PLN 9.05 net per kilogram – a symbolic 3 cents less than a week ago.
Live weight fattening pigs are currently valued at PLN 6.50 – 7.50 net per kilogram, and the average live purchase price is PLN 7.05 net per kilogram – exactly the same as last week.
