Paulina Hennig-Kloska announced changes to the government program, e.g. Clean Air, which subsidizes heat pumps. The Minister of Climate and Environment emphasized that subsidies will be granted to certified heat pumps and to owners of houses that have been thoroughly insulated.
- Subsidies for heat pumps should not be granted to houses without thermal modernization. Exposing citizens to high bills through an inappropriate sequence of actions undermines trust in the state, thus programs

During this year’s Clean Air Forum, Minister of Climate and Environment Paulina Hennig-Kloska talked about the solutions that are currently being introduced into government programs in cooperation with the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The changes are intended to improve the effectiveness of programs and ultimately reduce the amount of pollutants in the air.
Government subsidies only for certified heat pumps
The first decision I made in cooperation with the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management was to certify heat pumps that are installed and subsidized in Poland. We must remember that installing ineffective heat pumps does not solve the problem, because we may close the cinder block, but we expose citizens to huge bills. In order to improve air quality, the state should implement the highest quality programs based on the best, proven and certified technologies, emphasized the head of the Ministry of Climate and Environment.

The state also has an obligation to educate citizens and should do it with due diligence, especially when it allocates public money and European funds to the process.

Subsidies for heat pumps should not be granted to houses without thermal modernization. Exposing citizens to high bills due to an inappropriate sequence of actions undermines trust in the state, which means that programs – both those implemented by local governments and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management – may later meet with less interest – added Paulina Hennig-Kloska, Minister of Climate and Environment.
