“This year is very difficult for both breeders and the veterinary inspection in the region. We have already identified 10 outbreaks; although they always occurred in February, they were not as intense as now,” Dorota Daniluk, deputy provincial veterinarian, told PAP.
In her opinion, such a large number of outbreaks may be due to the fact that many farms were located in a very small area. All this year’s outbreaks occurred in the Iława commune in the Iława poviat.
