Next Wednesday, March 6, farmers will block Warsaw once again. What is the plan for the next protest in the capital? Let’s check!
- Protests organized by farmers are still taking place on the streets all over the country.
- The hosts expect three demands to be implemented: closing the border with Ukraine due to the inflow of agri-food goods, changes to the Green Deal and stopping the introduction of restrictions on animal breeding
- The protest in Warsaw will take place on March 6. We will cover this expression live on farmer.pl and in our social media.
Protests from the agricultural community have been going on almost constantly since the beginning of this year and are getting stronger every week. After a series of roadblocks, farmers decided to move to Warsaw so that the government could see their dissatisfaction up close. The Polish-Ukrainian border is still blocked. The traffic jams caused by them extend for many kilometers.
There are also smaller protests taking place across the country – more cities are blocked in fact every day. Farmers’ impatience is growing.
When will the next meeting of the Prime Minister with farmers take place? The Chancellery of the Prime Minister is silent!
After the protest in Warsaw organized by OPZZ, which took place on February 27, Prime Minister Donald Tusk met with representatives of the protesters.
What was agreed at the meeting?
- Donald Tusk announced the preparation of precise, joint demands from the Polish side – the protesters and the government – regarding changes to the Green Deal.
- Actions will be taken to cover Russian and Belarusian crops and agricultural products with an embargo.
- A guaranteed minimum price for grain, especially wheat, is to be established. – We will demand that the European Union finance the purchase and transport of grain from European markets for countries in need. The idea is to get rid of the grain surplus, including 9 million tons of Polish grain surplus, said the head of government.
- The Prime Minister declared an embargo on berries from Ukraine.
The head of government also assured that another meeting with farmers would be held in the coming days. The tentative date was March 5. Confirmation of this date was to be sent to farmers within 24 hours of the end of the meeting. However, nothing like that happened.

On March 6, Warsaw will stop
Farmers announced from the beginning that the strikes would be continued until their demands were met. There will also be a large protest in Warsaw, scheduled for March 6. This time it is organized by NSZZ Rolników Indywidualnych Solidarność together with the national NSZZ Solidarność, led by Piotr Duda. Foresters and hunters intend to join the strike.
We expect a much higher turnout than at the protest on February 27, says Adrian Wawrzyniak, spokesman for NSZZ Rolników Indywidualnych Solidarność.
The protest is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. at Aleje Ujazdowskie, in front of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. Then, the protesters will move to the Sejm, where a demonstration is planned from 1 p.m. The protest will end around 3 p.m. at Trzech Krzyży Square.
This time, tractors will also enter Warsaw. Their number is currently being agreed with city representatives.
The organizers inform about available parking lots – there is space for 100 buses in front of the Palace of Culture and Science, and a similar number can be parked at Torwar. The remaining buses will be directed to the meadows under the National Stadium.
We ask that buses have a white card behind the window with the signs “R” for farmers, “S” for Solidarność Pracownicza, “M” for hunters and “L” for foresters – informs NSZZ RI Solidarność. – It will also be possible to get off at the de Gaulle Roundabout or the National Museum, but coaches cannot stay there.
