On Friday, February 23, 2024, access to Katowice Airport will be difficult due to the announced farmers’ protest. Difficulties are expected between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Difficulties are expected from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the section of provincial road No. 913, which runs from the junction of this road with national road No. 78 and the S1 expressway, up to the roundabout at ul. Transportowa and ul. Piłsudskiego in Pyrzowice.
Suggested detours to the protest site:
- Access to KTW from Tarnowskie Góry via ul. Męczenników and ul. Wolności in Pyrzowice;
- Access to KTW from Siewierz via ul. Gminna, ul. Wspólna, ul. Kolejowa and ul. Habitats in Mierzęcice
- Access to KTW from Nowa Wieś, exit from DK78 into ul. Wojska Polskiego and the passage through ul. Housing estate and street Habitats in Mierzęcice
- Trucks: reaching KTW will be possible towards the S1 route or further on DK78. Alternative route: take DW913 towards DK86 in Będzin
