On Friday, February 23, there was a farmers’ protest on the access road to the airport in Pyrzowice. This is another edition of the protests, the reasons for which include, among others: the recent decision of the European Commission to extend duty-free trade with Ukraine until 2025 and farmers’ opposition to the EU agricultural policy.
As announced, on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., farmers blocked access roads to one of the largest airports in Poland in Pyrzowice (near Katowice).
There were difficulties on the section of provincial road No. 913, which runs from the junction of this road with national road No. 78 and the S1 expressway, up to the roundabout at ul. Transportowa and ul. Piłsudskiego in Pyrzowice.
