The farmers’ protest scheduled for March 6 in Warsaw will take place, despite previous announcements, without the participation of agricultural tractors.
- Next Wednesday, another large farmers’ protest will take place in Warsaw. This time the organizer is NSZZ Solidarność Individual Farmers in cooperation with NSZZ Solidarność.
- Initially, the organizers announced that tractors would also take part in the protest.
- However, in recent days this information has not been confirmed by the city authorities, and on Tuesday, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, noted that the police would not allow tractors into Warsaw for Wednesday’s protest. At the same time, he reminded that driving tractors is prohibited in the capital.
The protest may gather up to 100,000 participants
We estimate that between 80,000 and 100,000 will come. participants of the protest – estimates Tomasz Obszański, president of NSZZ RI Solidarność. – Not only farmers will come to the capital, but also carriers, miners, foresters and beekeepers – he adds.

Tractors were not allowed to enter the city
In the first version, nearly 20 tractors were to enter the city center. However, according to the organizers, the city authorities withdrew from their previous promises. According to recent arrangements, only one tractor can enter the protest. Just like last time, he will be pulling a trailer with a tank made of straw on it.
We did not obtain permission from the services to enter these vehicles into the center of the capital. I heard from the police that there is critical infrastructure in the center and we cannot conduct a protest this way, Obszański said in an interview with wp.pl. – The protest will start on Wednesday at 11:00 in front of the government headquarters. – We intend to submit our petitions to the Prime Minister and representatives of the Sejm. The event may last 5-6 hours, he added.
Head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration: It was forbidden to block two streets – Wał Miedzeszyński and Trakt Lubelski
Marcin Kierwiński pointed out that it was forbidden to block two streets – Wał Miedzeszyński and Trakt Lubelski, and the protest organizers appealed against this decision and lost in court.
Everything is clear in this matter. The police will obey the law, Kierwiński said.
As we read in PAP’s information, the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration emphasized that the police are in contact with the protest organizers. – Thanks to good cooperation between the police, the protest organizers and the capital city of Warsaw, last week’s demonstration was peaceful – said the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration.
He added that he is convinced that farmers realize that its acceptance by public opinion depends on the form of this protest. – Poles accept this protest because they know that farmers are fighting for their existence or not, but, like last week, these protests are taking place peacefully – said Kierwiński.
As the organizers point out, tractors will appear on the access routes to Warsaw.
The organizers inform about available parking lots – there is space for 100 buses in front of the Palace of Culture and Science, and a similar number can be parked at Torwar. The remaining buses will be directed to the meadows under the National Stadium.
We ask that buses have a white card behind the window with the signs “R” for farmers, “S” for Solidarność Pracownicza, “M” for hunters and “L” for foresters – informs NSZZ RI Solidarność. – It will also be possible to get off at the de Gaulle Roundabout or the National Museum, but coaches cannot stay there.
