The Central Statistical Office has counted new investments in agricultural farms in 2023.
Unfortunately, the trend signaled by the Central Statistical Office at the end of the first quarter of last year has continued – farmers are building less.
His analysis shows that 5.7 thousand were built last year. new farm buildings – i.e. 10.6% less than a year earlier.
The total usable area of this type of buildings was 2.5 million m2 (an increase of 8.5% y/y).
The largest share of area in the national value was recorded in the following voivodeships: Masovia (30.8%) and Greater Poland (21.6%), the smallest: Lubuskie (0.6%), Podkarpackie (1.0%), West Pomeranian Voivodeship (1.3% ) and Silesia (1.4%).
As for the number of storage buildings (specifically tanks, silos and storage buildings), 2.2 thousand were completed in the analyzed period. new warehouse buildings (6.7% less y/y).
The total usable area of this type of buildings decreased by 11.9% compared to the previous year and amounted to 4.8 million m2, reaching the highest value in the following voivodeships: Masovian (20.7% share in the country) and Greater Poland (16.0%). The smallest area was recorded in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (0.7%) and the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (1.1%).
