
Farmers on Friday at At 10.00 they started blocking the border crossing with Slovakia in Chyżne. They only stop trucks. In the afternoon, minor traffic jams occurred on national road No. 7 before the border crossing and towards the entrance to Poland.
Nearly 100 tractors and agricultural machines appeared at the crossing in Chyżne. All trucks coming from Slovakia are blocked, and those leaving Poland are controlled by farmers. One truck per hour is allowed through.
– We focus primarily on goods transported in isotherms and semi-trailers, where we do not see what goods are arriving. We are against importing poor quality food from Ukraine, because we have enough of our own food. We want to produce food and we don’t want to be limited, said Paweł Dziubek, the leader of the protesters.
The protest in the form of blocking the border crossing in Chyżne was formally reported to the local Jabłonka Commune Office.
