Construction material prices remain stable in early 2024

According to PSB, the average price dynamics of construction materials was minus 3% in January this year, compared to January 2023. In the wholesale channel, the price drop was 5.4%, while in the retail channel it was minus 1.1%. Comparing the month of January this year. until December 2023, prices of construction materials were on average at the same level (+0.1%).

The prices of which building materials have gone up and which prices have fallen at the beginning of 2024?

Commodity prices in January 2024, compared to January 2023, increased in 7 commodity groups: cement, lime (+13%), paints, varnishes (+7%), home surroundings (+3%), construction chemicals (+2%), automotive (+0.4%), furnishings, household appliances and carpentry (+0.2% each).

We know when subsidies for the purchase and installation of home windmills will start

Prices dropped in 14 groups: decorations (-0.3%), tiles, bathrooms, kitchens (-0.4%), garden and hobby (-0.6%), installations, heating (-1%), tools (-2%), waterproofing (-2%), lighting, electrical (-4%), finishing (-4%), roofs, gutters (-6%), drywall (-9%), walls, chimneys (-10%) and thermal insulation (-10%).

The largest decline occurred in the OSB and wood category (-22%).
