After Wednesday’s statement to the media by Janusz Wojciechowski, EU Commissioner for Agriculture, it already seemed that there had been a significant breakthrough in the European Commission regarding the provisions of the European Green Deal strategy questioned by farmers. Unfortunately, not so quickly with this “throwing the Green Deal into the trash”.
Commissioner Wojciechowski has been sharing his ideas for modifying the provisions of the European Green Deal strategy for some time.
Farmer.pl wrote about it, among others: in these articles:

Janusz Wojciechowski revealed further, quite far-reaching proposals for changes to the Green Deal on Wednesday, in an interview with RMF FM:

But it seems that this time the commissioner has “gone a bit ahead of the curve.”
– Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski spoke on his own behalf, which in no way reflects the official position of the EC – this is how European Commission spokesman Olof Gill referred to the revelations revealed to the media by Commissioner Wojciechowski on Wednesday.

The meeting of the Parliamentary EU Committee scheduled for Thursday, in which Janusz Wojciechowski was to participate and provide information on the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy in the context of current and future challenges facing agricultural policy, with particular emphasis on problems directly affecting Poland, was also canceled.
Michał Kobosko, chairman of the EU committee, talks about the official reasons for this decision.
– I have decided to cancel this meeting. Our intention is that – if the Commissioner’s calendar allows – during the next session of the Sejm, he will meet with the combined composition of the EU Affairs Committee and the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, said WP Kobosko.
Wednesday’s statement by Janusz Wojciechowski is just a false start, does the commissioner really have no support in the EC regarding changes to the Green Deal?
