We already know the rate at which points awarded for the implementation of specific practices under the Animal Welfare ecoscheme for 2023 will be converted.
Each variant of practices implemented within the Animal Welfare ecoscheme is scored depending on the technological group or housing system. We remind you of the point summary for individual practices.
Variant Welfare of suckler cows kept in an open system – 3.8
As we have learned, the welfare payment rate for the 2023 campaign will be PLN 100 per point obtained within the ecoscheme.
It should be noted, however, that in the “Animal Welfare” ecoscheme payment is subject to degressivity within a given genre/technology group:
- up to 100 DJP – 100% of the amount,
- above 100 DJP up to 150 DJP –75% of the amount,
- over 150 DJP – no payment.
New payments in 2024
In the 2024 campaign, cattle breeders will be able to count on additional payments of PLN 250 for a suckler cow and PLN 130 for fattening, also for herds numbering over 150 DJP. The payment will be granted under the “Animal Welfare” eco-scheme as part of a new option for participation in quality systems.
In the case of cattle, this system is QMP, which until recently was dedicated only to meat breeds and crossbreds with meat breeds. From this year, breeders can also certify fattening animals from dairy breeds.
