
Yesterday’s quotations of grain contracts on world stock exchanges ended with an increase in prices. Wheat on CBOT gained 2.0%.
Change of trend on grain markets?
The price situation for cereals on world stock exchanges is improving slightly, but slowly. At the moment, it is difficult to say whether this is a lasting improvement or a rebound from previous price declines. But on the other hand, Russia will eventually run out of supplies and will no longer lower prices, and then… the way is open to increases.
A large increase in the price of wheat on MATIF… at the end of quotations
Wheat in the contract for delivery in March on MATIF increased by 6.8%. and cost EUR 195.00/t (PLN 837/t), and year-on-year quotations dropped by 27.7%. This was the last quotation of the March contract series. The next closest series with a May completion date increased by 1.7%. up to EUR 196.75/t.
The price of corn on the Paris Stock Exchange in the June contract increased by 1.9%. and amounted to EUR 177.75/t (PLN 763/t), and over the last year it decreased by 33.1%.
Wheat on CBoT in the March contract increased by 2.0%. and cost USD 197.49/t. On a y/y basis, quotations decreased by 19.4%. The price of corn in the March delivery contract on the Chicago Stock Exchange increased by 0.5%. and amounted to USD 168.60/t, and over the last year it decreased by 31.4%.
