Chief Agri, a leading provider of agricultural storage and handling solutions, is thrilled to unveil their latest addition to the Farm Progress trade show in Decatur, Illinois. The CBLS 18-14 Chief Bin has a diameter of 55 feet, 8 inches, with a peak height of 63 feet, 10 inches, and a substantial farm bin capacity of over 112,000 bushels. This farm bin represents the quality and reliability you expect in a grain storage solution. Its design exemplifies the commitment to efficiency and functionality that Chief Agri is renowned for in the industry.

With a long-standing tradition of showcasing the latest upgrades and innovations, Chief Agri has consistently impressed attendees at the Farm Progress event for years. This year’s featured grain bin will include an array of cutting-edge features designed to enhance functionality and ensure optimal safety for farmers.

Among these notable features of the new Chief show bin is the innovative lap splice. The stiffener lap splice is a structural enhancement incorporated into all Chief Bin designs. It ensures increased strength and stability by effectively connecting the stiffener plates, reinforcing the sidewall structure. This robust construction significantly enhances the bin’s load-bearing capacity, allowing it to safely store and protect over 112,000 bushels of grain.

In addition to the stiffener lap splice, Chief Agri has included the 10k side draw feature to the new Chief show bin, further optimizing its functionality. The 10k side draw is a specialized grain retrieval system that enables farmers to efficiently access stored grain from the side of the bin. This innovative design facilitates convenient and streamlined grain handling, reducing time and labor involved in the retrieval process.

The new Chief Bin at Farm Progress is equipped with the A-Series Commercial Roof Safety Package from Greene Stairs, a trusted name in safety solutions. Recognizing the importance of safeguarding workers and commodities, Chief Agri has partnered with Greene Stairs to provide industry-leading safety measures. Additionally, the bin features the Farm Duty C-Series Sidewall Stairs, further improving accessibility and ease of use.

Greene Stairs is a trusted vendor for Chief Agri, providing top-notch equipment with a strong emphasis on farmer safety. They consistently deliver high-quality products that meet rigorous safety standards, making them a valuable partner in the agricultural industry. Chief Agri is grateful for the partnership with Greene Stairs, as their commitment to safety aligns perfectly with Chief’s values. Together, the two companies strive to provide reliable and secure equipment that empowers farmers with confidence.

“We have had a long-standing partnership with Chief Agri, and it has been a pleasure working together. Our collaboration is built on trust, shared values and a mutual commitment to farmer safety. We are proud to provide top-notch safe access solutions that empower farmers and enhance their operations. Here’s to many more years of success together!” said Mike Adams, president of Greene Stairs.

A standout feature of this year’s grain bin is the inclusion of the mid-roof walkaround and eave walkaround, also supplied by Greene Stairs. These additions provide farmers with convenient access points for inspections, maintenance and grain handling, streamlining day-to-day operations.

This year, all of Chief’s bins proudly feature the new V-Rib Roof, which enhances the grain storage capabilities of the bin. Engineered for both structured and unstructured roofs, the V-Rib panel incorporates a stair-step in the side slopes of the rib and subtle corrugations in the pan to enhance strength. Furthermore, the roof panels utilize steel graded at an increased 40ksi, surpassing the industry standard of 33ksi. This upgrade ensures enhanced protection against the elements, including snow, wind and peak loads, safeguarding farmers’ valuable commodities well into the future.

Chief Agri is immensely grateful for the work of Valley View Agri, a Chief dealer headquartered in Jonesboro, Arkansas, with additional locations in Arkansas, Mississippi and Illinois. The expertise and dedication of the Valley View Agri team have played a pivotal role in the successful construction of the Chief Bin at Farm Progress. Chief Agri values their partnership and appreciates the exceptional craftsmanship and commitment to excellence demonstrated by Valley View Agri throughout the process. With the shared vision of innovation and customer satisfaction, Chief Agri looks forward to growing this partnership and achieving continued success together.
