The Ukrainian state treasury will lose approximately UAH 7.7 billion if the border crossings with Poland are not unblocked by the end of the month, the Ukrainian authorities say.
– If the border is not unblocked by the end of the month, the country’s budget will lose UAH 7.7 billion in revenues, said Danylo Hetmantsev, chairman of the committee on finance, tax and customs policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, quoted by the Latifundist website.
Hetmantsew noted that this is a significant amount considering February is the shortest month. Yesterday (and not only), the protests of Polish farmers, especially the blocking of border crossings and access to ports, were sharply condemned by the Ukrainian government.
