ARiMR starts paying fees for area eco-schemes

Payments under area ecoschemes are planned to start on March 5. Approximately 418,000 people indicated such payments in their applications for 2023. farmers. But not everyone will receive the transfer to their account anyway.

In 2023, 1.24 million farmers applied for direct subsidies, and the amount of funds allocated for them is nearly PLN 17 billion. From October 16 to November 30, advance payments were made for direct and area payments for 2023. During this period, almost PLN 9.2 billion was transferred to the beneficiaries’ accounts. Final payments are made from December 1. By February 23, 2024, ARiMR had paid nearly PLN 1.5 billion in this respect. Of this amount, over PLN 864 million are direct payments, which went to 648,000. farmers. The remaining payments concern area support under PS CAP 2023-2027 and Rural Development Program 2014-2020.

Including advance payments made in October and November, farmers have already received approximately PLN 10.7 billion in direct and area subsidies.

ARiMR starts paying fees for eco-schemes

Payments under area ecoschemes are planned to start on March 5. According to ARiMR, approximately 418,000 people indicated such payments in their applications for 2023. farmers. Of these, approx. 340 thousand only applies for subsidies under area eco-schemes and they are the ones who can count on the money first. The rest applied for both area eco-scheme payments and the “Animal Welfare” eco-scheme.

– We plan that in March the Agency will pay approximately PLN 2.5 billion in direct payments, including area eco-schemes – says ARiMR in a press release.

In April, decisions on the granting of subsidies under the “Animal Welfare” eco-scheme will be issued and payments will be made on an ongoing basis. Approximately 94,000 people indicated payments under the “Animal Welfare” eco-scheme in their applications. farmers.

What are the rates for eco-schemes?

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development published on February 21 this year. a draft regulation providing specific rates for area eco-schemes for 2023.

And so, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development:

Payment rate for areas with melliferous plants is PLN 1,240.76 per hectare area approved for this payment.

In the case of the eco-schema “Carbon farming and nutrient management” the value of one point is PLN 103.56.

Payment rates for the implementation of individual practices within this ecoscheme depend on the number of points per hectare of the area approved for support and are, depending on the practice:

  • Extensive use of permanent grasslands with livestock: 5 points; PLN 517.80/ha;
  • Winter catch crops or undersowing catch crops: 5 points; PLN 517.80/ha;
  • Development and compliance with a fertilization plan – basic variant: 1 point; PLN 103.56/ha.
  • Development and compliance with a fertilization plan – variant with liming: 3 points; PLN 310.68/ha;
  • Diversified crop structure: 3 points; PLN 310.68/ha;
  • Mixing manure on arable land within 12 hours of its application: 2 points; PLN 207.12/ha;
  • Using natural liquid fertilizers using methods other than splashing: 3 points; PLN 310.68/ha;
  • Simplified cultivation systems: 4 points; PLN 414.24/ha;
  • Mixing straw with soil: 2 points; PLN 207.12/ha.

Payment rate for integrated plant production is PLN 1,346.40 per hectare area approved for this payment.

Payment rate for biological crop protection is PLN 414.29 per hectare area approved for this payment.

Payment rate for water retention on permanent grasslands is PLN 291.05 per hectare area approved for this payment.

The rates for area eco-schemes for 2023 are also presented in the table in the attachment below this text.

Farmer, check your bank account

The deadline for issuing a decision on the granting of direct and area subsidies for 2023 is May 31, 2024, and the payments in this respect should be completed by June 30, 2024.

It is worth for those waiting for money to check whether ARiMR has the correct bank account numbers. If the account is inactive, the money will not be transferred successfully.
