The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management warns all users of the Clean Air 2024 program. Choose proven contractors. Be careful with offers made by salespeople and check what you are signing. Remember that you are entitled to the Clean Air subsidy, not the contractor. Installing a new heating device is only effective in an insulated house.
- In the “Clean Air” program, the highest non-refundable subsidy, with comprehensive thermal modernization and replacement of the heat source, is up to PLN 136,200, but VAT must always be paid additionally by the applicant.
- If someone offers a service “for free”, it is worth having doubts about the reliability of such an offer.
- An offer to install only a new heat source in a house that requires thermal modernization (i.e. insulation of partitions, replacement of windows and doors, etc.) may result in high heat bills during the heating season.
- The Clean Air Program offers co-financing for building insulation with the replacement of the heat source preceded by an energy audit – these are eligible costs. Take advantage of such a comprehensive and fully beneficial offer of the Clean Air 2024 program.
- You can now apply for a subsidy from the “Clean Air” program by planning the purchase and installation of a heat pump or an energy-saving boiler for pellets, wood, gas or fuel oil after June 13 this year. After this date, you will only find heat pumps on the UTI list that are currently undergoing additional verification of efficiency and quality.
If you are an applicant or beneficiary of a subsidy from the Clean Air program, be vigilant and prudent when choosing a supplier and installation company dealing with the replacement of a heat source.
Be especially careful of those who knock on your door and offer something “for free.” Unfortunately, there are dishonest contractors on the services market who offer low-quality services and products and inflate prices – warn experts from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. – We would like to point out that the choice of the company selling the device and installing it rests with you – our applicants and beneficiaries.
Don’t be fooled by free offers. In the case of VAT subsidies, the home owner always has to pay extra

If someone offers a service “for free”, it is worth having doubts about the reliability of such an offer. If a company representative presents a power of attorney under the “Clean Air” program and does not give the opportunity to read the terms and conditions of the contract, it is worth considering the reliability of such an offer – emphasize experts from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
By signing the power of attorney, you give someone the right to manage the grant awarded to you.

High heating bills without thermal modernization
An offer to install only a new heat source in a building that requires thermal modernization (i.e. insulation of partitions, replacement of windows and doors, etc.) may result in high heat bills during the heating season.
Therefore, if you decide to replace only the old stove with a new heat source, e.g. a heat pump, make sure that your house is properly insulated – say experts from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
You need to choose proven heating devices from the Clean Air 2024 program now
When choosing a heat source for your home, use the list of green devices and materials (UTI list: lista-zum.ios.edu.pl).
You can now apply for a subsidy from the Clean Air program by planning the date of purchase and installation of the device after June 13 this year. – note the experts of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management – After this date, the list of utilities will only include heat pumps that are currently undergoing additional verification of efficiency and quality.

Therefore, when submitting an application, it is worth waiting before purchasing and installing the device. Then, with an insulated building and a high-quality device (selected from the UTI list), you will have a warmer and cheaper home.
Recommendations when applying for subsidies from Clean Air 2024
Under the Clean Air 2024 program, you can receive a subsidy for the thermal modernization of a single-family building along with replacing the heat source.
Make sure you choose a new heat source according to the condition of the building. The device must have adequate power and efficiency. This will be best demonstrated by an energy audit.

Check with the municipal “Clean Air” consultation and information point whether the offer presented to you by the contractor is consistent with the needs of your building.
We would like to alert all owners of single-family houses who want to take advantage of the program to the fact that only an insulated building with a new heat source is a sure solution that will bring benefits – emphasize the experts of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. -Remember! You should not accept offers for replacing the source itself if the house requires insulation! This is the basis. Check what you are signing and remember that the subsidy is for you, not the contractor.
Keep in mind that the combination of a heat pump and an uninsulated building usually results in high bills.
The Clean Air Program offers co-financing for building insulation with the replacement of the heat source preceded by an energy audit – these are eligible costs. Take advantage of such a comprehensive and fully beneficial offer of the Clean Air 2024 program.
