The Agricultural Social Insurance Fund announced an increase in agricultural pensions and pensions. The adjusted amounts of benefits will be transferred to the accounts in March.

KRUS informed that the upcoming increases will result from the indexation of benefits.

The Agricultural Social Insurance Fund informs that the indexation of agricultural pensions and annuities in 2024 consists in multiplying the amount of the basic pension, which from March 1, 2024 amounts to PLN 1,602.86, by the assessment indicators established individually for each benefit (for the contributory part and for supplementary part) – it is written on the payer’s website.

Pensioners will see more money in their accounts in March.

If the benefit determined in the manner specified above is lower than the amount of the lowest employee pension (from March 1, 2024, PLN 1,780.96) – it will be increased ex officio to PLN 1,780.96 – he adds.

Who cannot count on an increase in the benefit amount?

The following will not be increased up to PLN 1,780.96:

  • benefits whose payment has been suspended pursuant to Art. 28 or 34 of the Act on social insurance for farmers, i.e. in connection with running agricultural activities or obtaining additional income, e.g. from employment,
  • pensions and annuities from insurance received in conjunction with a pension or disability pension from other social insurance, if the sum of these benefits exceeds the amount of the lowest employee pension (also applies to receiving pensions from ZUS and KRUS at the same time), with the exception of survivor’s pension paid in conjunction with a social pension,
  • pensions and annuities paid pro-rata.

Not only pensions – who else can count on a raise?

  • parental supplementary benefit up to PLN 1,780.96,
  • cash benefit for serving as a village head up to PLN 336.36.

In addition, the following are subject to ex officio recalculation:

  • supplementary benefits for people unable to live independently. The total amount of cash benefits financed from public funds together with the amount paid by foreign institutions competent for pensions and disability pensions together with the supplementary benefit may not exceed PLN 2,419.33 per month.
  • compensatory benefits for anti-communist opposition activists and people repressed for political reasons. The total amount of the agricultural pension (taking into account the new amount of the allowance equal to the difference between the amount of benefits granted by the EU/EFTA Member States and the lowest pension in Poland) and benefits granted by foreign institutions competent for pensions and pensions together with the compensatory benefit may not exceed the amount of PLN 3,415.50 per month.

From March 1, 2024, the amounts of allowances/benefits due to pensions and annuities will also increase and will amount to:

  • care allowance – PLN 330.07,
  • allowance for a war invalid recognized as completely incapable of work and independent living – PLN 495.11 groszy,
