New HPAI outbreaks in Greater Poland
According to the information posted on the website of the Chief Veterinary Inspectorate, the 16th HPAI outbreak in Poland this year was confirmed on February 17, 2024 on a commercial farm located in the town of Skrzebowa, in the Raszków commune, Ostrów County, Greater Poland Voivodeship. This farm was maintained 9,601 reproductive ducks.
Three more bird flu outbreaks in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship
Two further avian influenza outbreaks (17 and 18) were confirmed February 20, 2024 on commercial farms in Ławice, Iława commune, Iława poviat, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. These farms were properly maintained 25,520 and 25,040 ducks for slaughter.
On the same day, it was also found in this district ognisko HPAI no. 19. The disease occurred on a commercial farm in Gromoty. It was held in it 16,697 turkeys for slaughter.
Let us recall that earlier two HPAI outbreaks were detected in the Iława district (11 and 14), where a total of 51,400 turkeys were kept for slaughter.
