Who can benefit from direct payments?
Direct payments are available to professionally active farmers conducting agricultural activities. They must have land with an area of at least 1 ha. The land for which they want to receive payments should be in their possession as of May 31, 2024. This support is also available to farmers who have less than 1 ha of land but meet the conditions for granting animal-related payments, and the total amount of direct payments, that he would receive is at least EUR 200.
This year, the list of payments you can apply for is the same as last year. As part of direct payments, in addition to, among others: basic income support or redistributive payment, co-financing under eco-schemes has been implemented since last year. In 2024, there will be some changes in this area, e.g. additional variants have been introduced in the case of the welfare of animals bred in accordance with quality systems. You can also apply for transitional national support, as well as for agri-environment-climate, ecological, forestry and LFA payments.
Applications for subsidies with attachments are accepted until May 15, 2024. Traditionally, documents can also be delivered after this date, but for each working day of delay the payment will be reduced by 1%. In turn, corrections in applications without financial consequences can be made until May 31, 2024. After this date, payments for the areas affected by the changes will also be reduced by 1%. for each day of delay.
